UIDAI Launches Aadhaar Mascot Design Contest — Win ₹1 Lakh

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has announced a nationwide Mascot Design Contest aimed at finding an official visual ambassador for Aadhaar. The competition is being hosted on the MyGov platform and is open until 31 October 2025. Participants — either individuals or teams — can submit original mascot designs along with a concept note explaining how their creation embodies Aadhaar’s spirit. The winning designs will receive cash awards totaling up to ₹1 lakh, plus certificates of recognition.

Purpose & Themes of the Mascot

The mascot is intended to,

  • Serve as UIDAI’s visual ambassador, making its communication more accessible and engaging across all age groups
  • Reflect the core values of Aadhaar: trust, inclusivity, empowerment, and digital innovation
  • Convey Aadhaar’s attributes of service, security, and accessibility in its design and persona

In short, the mascot should go beyond being a cute character — it must carry forward Aadhaar’s mission and identity in visual form.

How to Participate & Submission Guidelines

  • The contest is open to all Indian citizens, whether as individuals or teams
  • Submissions must be made through the MyGov contest page by 31 October 2025

Each entrant or team should submit one original design, accompanied by,

  • A name for the mascot
  • A brief concept note explaining how the design aligns with Aadhaar’s values and themes
  • Designs should be original and not infringe intellectual property rights. Standard contest rules such as disqualification grounds and liability clauses apply.
    Innovate India

Evaluation will consider creativity, originality, visual appeal, and relevance to the Aadhaar mission.

Prize Structure & Recognition

The total prize pool is ₹1 lakh, to be shared among top winners,

  • 1st Prize: ₹50,000
  • 2nd Prize: ₹30,000
  • 3rd Prize: ₹20,000

Winners also receive certificates of recognition.

Beyond the monetary awards, the selected mascot will be adopted as the face of Aadhaar in public campaigns, making it a symbolic asset in national identity communication.
