Aadhaar usage in India continues to rise strongly. In November 2025, Aadhaar number holders completed 231 crore authentication transactions, marking an impressive 8.5% growth compared to the same month last year. This increase shows how widely Aadhaar is being used for services, welfare schemes, and digital activities across the country.
The month of November 2025 saw the highest number of Aadhaar authentications recorded so far in this financial year. In comparison, October reported 219.51 crore transactions, showing a steady month-to-month rise. This growth also highlights how Aadhaar has become an important tool for both government benefits and private sector services.
The Aadhaar Face Authentication system is also becoming more popular. During November 2025, about 60% of pensioners used face authentication to generate their Digital Life Certificates. This AI-based feature works smoothly on both Android and iOS phones, allowing users to confirm their identity with a quick face scan. It offers both convenience and strong security.
In total, 28.29 crore face authentication transactions took place in November 2025, compared to 12.04 crore in November 2024, showing rapid adoption.
Aadhaar-based e-KYC services also showed significant growth. In November 2025, India recorded 47.19 crore e-KYC transactions, which is more than 24% higher than in November 2024.
The Aadhaar e-KYC system helps banks, NBFCs, and other service providers complete customer verification quickly. This improves the customer experience and supports easier and faster business processes.
The strong growth in authentication, face recognition, and e-KYC shows how Aadhaar is playing a major role in India’s expanding digital economy.
With rising usage across sectors, Aadhaar continues to support efficient welfare delivery, simple identity verification, and secure online services for millions of people.
