The UP Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana 2026 is a flagship welfare scheme by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. This scheme aimed at to empowering traditional artisans and craftsmen by providing free skill training, modern toolkits, and financial assistance. It was introduced in the year 2018, this scheme seeks to preserves traditional occupations and improving the livelihoods of skilled workers through the training and access to affordable credit. Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive total six days of free residential training, a ₹10,000 toolkit grant and a opportunity to avail concessional loans of up to ₹10 lakh for the expansion of their businesses.

Selected applicants will receive total six days of free residential training, where they learn about the modern techniques, business practices, and improved production methods.
The Uttar Pradesh Government will bears the total cost of accommodation and meals during the training period.
2. ₹10,000 Toolkit Assistance
After successfully completing the training period each beneficiaries receive ₹10,000 to purchase advanced tools and equipment required for their particular profession.
3. Affordable Business Loans
Eligible artisans can also avail the concessional loans ranging from ₹10,000 to ₹10 lakh through the Uttar Pradesh Khadi and Village Industries Board (UPKVIB) to establish or expand their businesses.
4. Improved Employment Opportunities
This scheme helps the beneficiaries to become self-reliant by increasing productivity, improving product quality, and creating better income opportunities.
