US-Iran Peace Talks in Islamabad Collapse Without Agreement, Deepening Regional Uncertainty
The major global political setback comes as the peace talks between the United States and Iran have failed to produce the any agreement the during high level negotiations which were held in the Islamabad. This talks was mediated by Pakistan and it aims to de-escalate the ongoing tensions in the Middle East but it was ended without consensus as the both sides were blaming each other. The collapse of this negotiations has raised the global concerns around the world.
Mr. Vance said that the Islamabad Talks with Iran failed as the two sides could not bridge the gulf of differences despite efforts spreading more than 21 hours.
Ghalibaf, who led the Iranian delegation for the Pakistani mediated talks with the US in Islamabad, added that his country’s delegation negotiated in good faith and raised “forward-looking initiatives” without specifying what these were.
