Uttar Pradesh’s Visionary Step – Centralized GIS Data Centre for Ayodhya Development

The Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government is set to establish a cutting-edge Centralized GIS Data Centre in Ayodhya under the Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA). This initiative aligns with the Chief Minister’s vision to enhance the city’s infrastructure and efficiently manage the ongoing 141 projects worth Rs 30,977 crore, aimed at restoring Ayodhya’s historical grandeur.

Development Process Initiated by ADA

  • Hardware and Software Infrastructure: ADA has initiated the development process for the necessary software and hardware infrastructure required for the state-of-the-art GIS data centre integrated with Geographic Information System (GIS).
  • Project Evaluation: The GIS data centre will facilitate the evaluation of operations of over 37 agencies involved in the 141 ongoing projects, allowing for streamlined project progress assessment.

Selection of Agency and Responsibilities

  • Agency Selection: ADA will select an agency responsible for setting up and operating the Centralized GIS Data Centre. The selected agency will handle development, operation, and management for an initial period of five years, extendable based on performance.
  • GIS Solutions: The chosen agency will focus on analyzing ADA’s existing infrastructure and equipping it with GIS solutions.

Benefits and Impacts

  • Comprehensive Monitoring: The GIS data centre will lead to the formation of a GIS data centre and lab, enabling efficient monitoring of the 141 projects in Ayodhya, with real-time accessibility to progress, potential delays, and other critical information.
  • Seamless Decision-Making: The data centre’s generated presentations and Management Information System (MIS) reports will offer real-time analysis, aiding in departmental inspections and streamlining decision-making processes.
  • Global Visibility: The Data Centre’s framework will enable intelligent compilation and presentation of all development facets on state, central, and even global platforms, making it invaluable for showcasing Ayodhya’s progress.

Smart Technology Integration

  • Real-time Connectivity: Senior officers of ADA can stay connected through smart tabs and gadgets, utilizing the framework developed by the data centre, ensuring a seamless process for regular inspections.
  • Prime Minister’s Initiatives: The data centre aligns with Prime Minister Modi’s development projects in Ayodhya, ensuring intelligent and efficient management of all facets of these initiatives.
