Uttarakhand Gaurav Samman: The Uttarakhand government announced that this year’s Uttarakhand Gaurav Samman would be given to National Securtiy Advisor (NSA), Ajit Doval, poet Prasoon Joshi, and three other individuals for their notable achievements. - Ajit Doval is a former government employee from the IPS cadre. He was born on January 20, 1945.
- He is India’s fifth NSA for the year 2014. He has a track record of managing India’s security concerns at the highest level. In 2004–2005, he was the Intelligence Bureau’s Director.
- He oversaw IB’s operations wing for ten years prior to then.
