Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has become the youngest batter to make a fifty in T20 International cricket. During the first T20I match against Zimbabwe in Harare on 23rd July 2026, the 15-year-old batter accomplished his milestone in 19 balls. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi broke the record while being just 15 years and 118 days old.

The left-handed batsman was playing his fourth match with senior India, but he showed no fear while facing Zimbabwe’s bowling.

His innings consisted of four fours and four sixes, coming at a very good strike rate of 263-plus.

Although he was out shortly after reaching the half-century mark, he remains in the record books.
