Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Creates IPL History with Most Sixes by an Indian in a Single Season

India’s upcoming teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has scripted a history in IPL (Indian Premier league)by becoming the Indian batter with the most sixes hit in the single season. He marked this milestone against the Delhi Capitals on 17th May, 2026 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Breaks Historic IPL Record

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi achieved the landmark moment during Rajasthan Royals clash against Delhi Capitals.

Ahead of this match, he needed only three sixes to surpass Abhishek Sharma’ss Indian record of 42 sixes in one IPL season.

He completed this feat in style by smashing his third six off Tripurana Vijay.

With this short, Vaibhav officially became the Indian player with the most sixes in a single IPL season.

His tally now stands at the 43 sixes in just 12 matches.

That makes the achievement even more extraordinary.
