The award ceremony was hosted by Lord Bellamy KC and Lord Rami Ranger CBE, a distinguished Member of Parliament. Bachchan, known for producing hits such as Tanu Weds Manu, Zila Ghaziabad, Ginny Weds Sunny, and Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana, was honored for his influential role in bringing Indian cinema to global audiences. His films not only entertain millions but also promote Indian culture and traditions worldwide.
During the ceremony, Bachchan expressed his gratitude and announced plans for the future, confirming that sequels to Ginny Weds Sunny and Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana are in development. He also revealed intentions to explore filming locations in the UK, aiming to strengthen cinematic ties between the two countries.
Bachchan stated, “It’s a privilege to be here, and I am thankful to people like Lord Rami Ranger, whose spirit of nationalism and fortitude inspires us to celebrate the togetherness of our work across nations.” He emphasized his vision of using cinema as a means of cultural exchange, showcasing the rich heritage of both India and the UK.
