Virat Kohli Breaks Tendulkar’s Record for Fastest 14,000 Run
Virat Kohli has once again etched his name in cricketing history by becoming the fastest batter to reach 14,000 ODI runs. He achieved this milestone in just 287 innings, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar (350 innings) and Kumar Sangakkara (378 innings). Kohli reached the landmark during India’s Champions Trophy 2025 match against Pakistan in Dubai, where he played a match-winning knock, scoring an unbeaten century (51st ODI ton).
His remarkable consistency and ability to chase down targets efficiently have made him a record-breaking machine in One Day Internationals (ODIs). Kohli has been the fastest to every 1,000-run milestone since 8,000 runs in 2017, reinforcing his dominance in the format.
Kohli reached the mark in 63 fewer innings than Tendulkar and 91 fewer than Sangakkara.
