He completed his first overseas Test Century in almost five years with a boundary against Jomel Warrican on the second ball of the 91st over of the Indian Innings. It was the 29th time in Test Matches that he managed to score a century, and by this he becomes equal to Sir Don Bradman.
Virat faced a total of 206 deliveries during his stay at the crease in the first innings of the 2nd Test and with the help of 11 boundaries scored 121 runs. He added 159 runs for the fifth wicket with world No. 1 Test all-rounder Ravinder Jadeja (61) to help India bounce back from a mid-innings collapse and post a challenging total of 438 runs in the first innings.
