Vividdhta ka Amrit Mahotsav Inauguration at Rashtrapati Bhavan

President Smt. Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the ‘Vividdhta ka Amrit Mahotsav’ at Rashtrapati Bhavan, showcasing Northeast India’s cultural richness. Organized by the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region and Ministry of Culture, the event ran from February 8th to 11th, 2024.

Inauguration Highlights

  • President Murmu inaugurated the event, accompanied by Minister of DoNER, Shri G. Kishan Reddy.
  • Minister Reddy expressed gratitude for President Murmu’s support and highlighted the government’s commitment to Northeast’s development.
  • Minister Kiren Rijiju acknowledged the region’s significant transformation.

Mahotsav Features

  • Over 320 stalls showcased unique handicrafts, handlooms, and agro products from eight Northeastern states.
  • GI Pavilion featured 25+ textile, craft, and agricultural GI products, celebrating the region’s diversity.
  • Live demonstrations at 20+ stations showcased traditional craftsmanship, offering firsthand experiences.
  • Cultural performances, including traditional dances and fusion performances, entertained the audience.
  • Gastronomic journey offered diverse food stalls representing Northeastern flavors and traditions.
  • Kids Activity Zone and Youth Engagement Zone provided creative exploration of Northeast’s historical and cultural richness.
