VP C.P. Radhakrishnan Inaugurates 30th CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam

The 30th edition of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Partnership Summit 2025 was inaugurated in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, by the Vice‑President of India, C. P. Radhakrishnan, on 14 November 2025. Organised jointly by CII, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, and the Andhra Pradesh Government, the two‑day summit brings together industry leaders, policymakers and international delegates to chart the future of trade, investment and technology in India.

Theme & Scale of the Summit

The summit is being held under the theme “Technology, Trust and Trade: Navigating the New Geoeconomic Order”, reflecting the changing global economic dynamics and India’s increasing role in it.

More than 2,500 delegates, including representatives from 77 countries, are expected to participate.

Key Highlights from the Inaugural Address

Vice‑President Radhakrishnan emphasised,

  • India’s rapid emergence under the leadership of Narendra Modi, highlighting the country’s journey towards becoming a global economic powerhouse.
  • Andhra Pradesh’s strong investment climate, commending Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s leadership and the synergised efforts of the Centre and the State.
  • The call to global investors to “seize the opportunity” in India, as the country positions itself as a leading startup hub and technology‑driven economy.

Andhra Pradesh’s Investment Agenda

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu outlined a 10‑point strategy for investment, announcing that over USD 20 billion has already been secured in 17 months, generating 20 lakh jobs. The state now targets USD 0.5 trillion in investments and 50 lakh jobs, with a long‑term vision of USD 1 trillion within the next decade. Sectors targeted: drones, electronics, aerospace, semiconductors, defence, space.

He stated the state has moved from “ease of doing business” to “speed of doing business”, with real‑time approvals and fast project execution.
