India’s long-awaited human spaceflight dream is entering its most critical phase. With safety and reliability taking centre stage, the Indian Space Research Organization is intensifying preparations for Gaganyaan. • The astronauts will be launched aboard the human-rated LVM3 rocket, capable of placing the crew module into a 400 km low Earth orbit.
