Auraiya is a district in the south-western part of Uttar Pradesh. It is often called the ”Land of Diversity’‘ because of its different types of land, people, culture, economy and history. It became a separate district on September 17, 1997, when two tehsils – Auraiya and Bidhuna – were separated from Etawah district. Today, it is part of the Kanpur district.

It has varied geography, as it lies near districts like Etawah, Kanpur Dehat and Jalaun and even touches Madhya Pradesh. Its long history, historical places and well-organized administration add to its uniqueness, making Auraiya truly diverse and special.

Auraiya is a district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It was made a separate district on September 17, 1997, after being separated from Etawah district. Auraiya is in the south-western part of the state and comes under the Kanpur district. The main city and administrative center of the district is Auraiya City. The district is mainly known for farming and small industries, especially in the towns of Auraiya and Dibiyapur.
