In Uttar Pradesh, the district known as Toy City is Greater Noida, located in Gautam Buddh Nagar. This designation highlights its significant role in the toy industry.
Greater Noida earned the title of Toy City due to a government initiative in 2020. The government proposed establishing a dedicated toy manufacturing hub in Sector 33 of Greater Noida. For this purpose, 100 acres of land were earmarked to foster the development of this specialized industrial zone.
The proposal aimed to create a comprehensive toy manufacturing ecosystem. This initiative was designed to boost local production, encourage investment, and create job opportunities within the region. The development of Toy City is expected to enhance Greater Noida’s prominence in the national and international toy markets.
