One such plateau is located between the Aravali and Vindhya ranges, playing a key role in central India’s environment and heritage.

Which Plateau in India Lies Between Aravali and Vindhya Range?

The Malwa Plateau is located between the Aravalli Hills on the western side and the Vindhya Range in the south. It spreads across parts of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. This plateau was formed by volcanic activity and has rich black soil, which is very suitable for farming. The region has an average height of about 500 metres and gently slopes towards the northern plains, helping rivers flow in that direction.

The Malwa Plateau is located in north-central India. It is surrounded by the Aravali Hills to the west and the Vindhya Range to the south. To the north, it is bordered by the Madhya Pradesh Plateau and Bundelkhand Upland.
