Which Teams Have Won Back to Back IPL Titles?
Royal Challengers Bengaluru became the third team to lift the IPL title consecutive times. As they have defeated the Gujarat Titans in the Final of this year which was played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. After this victory, RCB part of the rare group of teams that have managed to win consecutive IPL trophies.
The IPL 2026 final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in the Ahmedabad witnessed another historic moment for the Bengaluru franchise. RCB have defeated the Gujarat Titans by five wickets to lift their second consecutive IPL trophy.
After winning the toss, Bengaluru chose to bowl first and they restricted Gujarat Titans to 155/8. The chase was completed comfortably in just 18 overs with the brilliant innings from Virat Kohli.
Since the was IPL started in 2008, only three teams have managed to successfully defend their title.
