Bansal’s focus on local manufacturing has been another milestone. Lenskart established one of India’s largest eyewear factories in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, producing millions of lenses and frames every month. This move not only reduced import dependence but also supported the government’s Make in India initiative.
Under his leadership, Lenskart also expanded into international markets, including Singapore, Dubai, and Southeast Asia, taking Indian entrepreneurship to the global stage.
Lenskart’s growth story is a mix of technology, innovation, and customer trust. It was among the first Indian companies to introduce free eye-check-ups, doorstep delivery, and AI-based virtual try-ons that allowed users to see how frames would look before purchase. These features bridged the gap between online shopping and in-store experiences.
