Who is Vikram Doraiswami? Meet India’s New Ambassador to China
India has appointed diplomat Vikram Doraiswami as its new ambassador to China. He is 1992 batch IFS officer Doraiswami is currently serving as India’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom. The decision comes as both countries attempt to stabilize relations after years of tension following the Galwan Valley clash.
The decision reflects India’s strategic intent to strengthen diplomatic engagement with Beijing. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has confirmed that he will assume his new role shortly.
