Wipro has announced the launch of its Lab45 AI platform, designed to leverage generative AI (GenAI), machine learning (ML), and deep learning technologies to enhance efficiencies and transform business functions across industries. The platform is available to all Wipro employees and clients, running on a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model and supporting various state-of-the-art large language models (LLMs) from leading providers, as well as custom deep-learning models.
As Wipro’s dedicated innovation hub, Lab45 has developed this AI platform to integrate language and visual processing seamlessly. It enables functionalities such as generating images from text prompts and indexing, parsing, and summarizing content.
The platform boasts over 1,000 GenAI agents and more than 10 applications, offering no-code and low-code pre-built solutions for HR, sales, marketing, and operations. It also facilitates the creation of industry-specific GenAI agents and applications.
The platform significantly reduces the time required to read and interpret clauses in large contracts from hours to minutes, enhancing accuracy and turnaround time in the background verification process.
By utilizing a combination of well-known LLMs and custom models from Lab45, the platform improves sales and revenue generation, forecasting, sales analysis, and report generation.
Proof of concepts (POCs) for customers in various industries, including banking, pharmaceuticals, and telecommunications, have demonstrated 20-30% improvements in test case, script, and result analytics.
With API-based access, clients can easily integrate GenAI into their environments. Topcoder, a Wipro platform, has reported a seven-fold increase in GenAI usage since implementing the platform’s APIs in October 2023.
Over the past six months, select Wipro teams and external users have experienced significant time savings and productivity enhancements.
Subha Tatavarti, Chief Technology Officer at Wipro, emphasized the company’s commitment to innovation and productivity through the Lab45 AI platform. “We are excited about the transformative impact this platform will have across business functions, helping our customers innovate faster while balancing privacy and responsible AI,” she stated.
