ABOUT THE INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT (IMD)

  • IMD has been a pioneering force in developing leaders and organizations that contribute to a more prosperous, sustainable, and inclusive world for more than 75 years.
  • Our executive education and degree programs are consistently ranked among the world’s best.
  • This consistency at the forefront of its industry is grounded in IMD’s unique approach to creating “Real Learning. Real Impact.”

The structure of the IMD World Talent Ranking

  • Investment and development
  • Appeal
  • Readiness
  • These 3 factors comprise 31 criteria, although each factor does not necessarily have the same number of criteria (for example, it takes more criteria to assess Readiness than to evaluate Investment and Development).
  • Each factor, independently of the number of criteria it contains, has the same weight in the overall consolidation of results that is ⅓.

Switzerland Tops

Switzerland excels in investment, development, and appeal factors while maintaining high standards in quality of life, health infrastructure, educational attainment, statutory minimum wage, and foreign personnel attraction.

India’s Position

  • India finds itself ranked 58th globally, with a talent score of 40.47.
  • A decline from last year’s 56th position and a significant drop from 52nd in 2022.
  • The 2024 World Talent Ranking reveals a mixed performance, with India’s overall rank falling as it struggles with readiness and investment development metrics.
