Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the ‘Jagananna Amma Vodi’ scheme

Introduction

Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy of Andhra Pradesh has taken a significant step towards promoting education and empowering mothers through the implementation of the Jagananna Amma Vodi scheme. With an allocation of ₹6,392 crore, this initiative aims to provide financial assistance to approximately 42 lakh mothers, offering them an annual gift of ₹15,000 for sending their children to school.

Through the Amma Vodi scheme, approximately 83 lakh students from Class I to intermediate levels will benefit from the financial assistance provided by the state government.
