Emmy Awards 2025: Recap and Highlights

The 2025 Emmy Awards celebrated a wide range of genres and talents. Among the biggest winners, “The Studio” stood out in the comedy categories with wins for Seth Rogen as Lead Actor, and awards for both directing and writing. Jean Smart continued her dominance with a Lead Actress win in “Hacks,” while Hannah Einbinder added to the show’s tally with a Supporting Actress win.

In drama, “Severance” returned strong with Britt Lower winning Lead Actress, and Tramell Tillman taking home Supporting Actor. “The Pitt” made a breakthrough with Katherine LaNasa winning Supporting Actress.

Cristin Milioti’s performance in “The Penguin” was a standout in the limited series category, earning her a Lead Actress win, while “Adolescence” took multiple awards, including Directing (Philip Barantini), Supporting Actor (Owen Cooper), Supporting Actress (Erin Doherty), and Writing (Jack Thorne, Stephen Graham).

“Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” once again dominated the scripted variety segment, while “SNL50: The Anniversary Special” grabbed the award for Best Live Variety Special. In reality television, “The Traitors” triumphed in the competition program category.
