Sant Sevalal Maharaj, a spiritual and religious figurehead of the Banjara community, was born 284 years ago on February 26, marking the beginning of a yearlong remembrance.   • Sant Sevalal Maharaj was born on February 15, 1739, in Surgondankoppa, in the Shivamogga region of Karnataka.
