Haryana’s Lado Lakshmi Yojana to Offer Financial Aid Quarterly from December 2025

In a move aimed at strengthening women’s economic empowerment, the Government of Haryana has modified the disbursement structure of the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana (DDLLY). Starting December 2025, financial assistance under the scheme will be released on a quarterly basis, with beneficiaries receiving a lump sum of ₹6,300 every three months instead of ₹2,100 monthly. This update was announced by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, who confirmed the change while releasing the scheme’s second instalment. The decision reflects an effort to streamline welfare distribution while preserving the core objective of boosting social security and financial stability for women in the state.

What Is Lado Lakshmi Yojana?

  • Launched on September 25, 2025, the Lado Lakshmi Yojana is a landmark welfare initiative introduced by the Haryana government to provide monthly direct financial assistance to women belonging to economically weaker sections.
  • The scheme was launched on the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, symbolizing the government’s commitment to Antyodaya — uplifting the last person in the line.
  • Under this scheme, married and unmarried women aged 23 to 60 years are eligible for ₹2,100 per month through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Women above 60 years transition to the Old Age Samman Allowance Scheme.

What Has Changed: From Monthly to Quarterly Transfers

While the amount remains the same, the frequency of transfers has changed,

  • Earlier: ₹2,100 per month
  • Now: ₹6,300 once every three months

This change was announced in early December 2025 following the successful rollout of the scheme’s second instalment. The government explained that quarterly payments would offer better planning flexibility to recipients and reduce administrative load.

Application & Verification Process

To ensure transparency and accessibility, the entire application process is online,

  • Eligible women must register via the official mobile app
  • Aadhaar-based e-KYC is mandatory
  • Applicants must upload a live photo
  • SMS notifications are sent upon verification, and benefits are credited within 24–48 hours post-approval

This app-based, digital-first approach allows seamless verification and avoids middlemen or paperwork-related delays.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Age: 23–60 years
  • Annual Income: Up to ₹1 lakh
  • Residency: Must be a permanent resident of Haryana (15+ years)
  • Status: Both married and unmarried women are eligible
  • Exclusions: Those receiving other pensions or duplicate applications are disqualified

During initial verification, over 25,000 ineligible applications were rejected — including attempts by non-residents and misuse of documents.

Performance So Far

  • Scheme Launch: September 25, 2025
  • First Payment: November 1, 2025
  • Beneficiaries (as of Nov 30): Over 7 lakh women
  • Total Disbursed: Approx. ₹148 crore
  • Pending KYC Cases: 1.43 lakh women (expected to receive benefits upon completion)
  • Daily New Registrations: 3,000 to 4,000

These numbers reflect the scheme’s widespread reach and rapid adoption across the state.
