Actor Mushtaq Khan Dies at 75 After Cancer Battle

Noted actor Mushtaq Khan, who has acted in various supporting and character roles in over 500 films, passed away aged 75 from cancer. Khan’s son Mohsin announced that his father passed away around 7 pm in Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital where he had been admitted around two weeks back. Khan was complaining of pain in the stomach and the doctors later found out that he had cancer. His career as an actor stretched for around five decades and includes films like Welcome, Gadar, Aashiqui and Gadar 2.

For nearly five decades, Mushtaq Khan worked in Hindi movies and acted in over 500 films. He is famous not for leading roles but as a supporting character actor.

Final Days and Death

As stated by his son, Khan was healthy before he developed abdominal pain. He was then admitted to the Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai and found to be suffering from cancer.

He went downhill towards the last days of his stay in the hospital. It was reported that Khan was working right before he was admitted and filming for the film debut of the son of Salman Khan’s bodyguard Shera.

Khan died at around 7 pm in the Nanavati Hospital. His funeral will be held on Friday.
