Agriculture Minister Arjun Munda Launches Key Initiatives Under PMFBY

Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Arjun Munda introduced several key initiatives under the Prime Minister Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) in New Delhi on 8th February 2024. These initiatives aim to benefit insured farmers and mitigate their risks.

Krishi Rakshak Portal and Helpline

  • An integrated grievance redressal mechanism.
  • Includes a digital portal and a call center.
  • Enables farmers to lodge grievances, concerns, and queries easily.

SARTHI Initiative

  • Stands for Sandbox for Agricultural and Rural Security, Technology, and Insurance.
  • Utilizes technology to offer various insurance products.
  • Coverage includes health, life, property, agriculture tools, motor assets, and disaster risks.

Learning Management System (LMS)

  • Designed to transform training and knowledge-sharing for stakeholders.
  • Targets effective implementation of key agricultural schemes nationwide.

  • Ministers of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shobha Karandlaje and Kailash Chaudhary, also graced the event.
