Ahmedabad Declared Cleanest City In Swachh Survekshan 2024–25
The Swachh Survekshan 2024–25, India’s largest cleanliness survey conducted by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs under the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM), has declared Ahmedabad as the cleanest city in the category of cities with a population of over 10 lakh. The annual ranking, which has evolved significantly since its launch in 2016, now includes special recognitions such as the Super Swachh League Cities, and it saw participation from 4,589 cities. This year’s results showcase a renewed thrust on sustainable sanitation practices and citizen-centric cleanliness initiatives across urban India.
