The festival’s Instagram post celebrated Alia alongside actor Hend Sabry. It said, “We’re proud to honor Alia Bhatt with the Golden Globe Horizon Award on the sidelines of the 5th Red Sea International Film Festival. This award celebrates the brightest creative talents in the Middle East and North Africa.”

Alia explained, “Alpha is the first female-led action film from the YRF universe. It’s a risk because female-led action films haven’t historically performed the same as male-led films.”
The movie will also star Sharvari in a lead role, with a special cameo by Hrithik Roshan. Alpha is part of the YRF Spy Universe, which includes films like Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, Tiger 3, and the upcoming War 2.
Originally planned for Christmas 2025, Yash Raj Films confirmed that Alpha will now release on April 17, 2026. The delay is to allow more time for VFX work, ensuring the film delivers the best visual experience to audiences.
