American folk singer John Prine has passed away due to the COVID-19 complications. In a career spanning over half a century, he won two Grammy awards for best contemporary folk albums “The Missing Years (1991)” and “Fair & Square (2005)”. He was bestowed with Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and was also inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

During his career, John Prine came out with various heartfelt and unforgettable songs such as Sweet Revenge, Angel From Montgomery, and In Spite of Ourselves. The legendary singer is still remembered for his 1971 anti-war track “Your Flag Decal Won’t Get You Into Heaven Anymore”.
