Baisakhi 2023: Baisakhi is the most significant festival celebrated by the Sikh community. The festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm and splendour. Langars are organised by Sikhs at various places to serve food to everyone. In some parts of the country, people also take a dip in the holy river Ganges to wash away their sins. Food is an important part of the celebrations, with traditional dishes in Baisakhi. Baisakhi 2023: History and significance

The Sikh community holds great significance to the day of Baisakhi, as it commemorates the establishment of the Khalsa Panth by their tenth guru, Guru Gobind Singh in March 1699. Baisakhi is celebrated on April 14 and according to Drik Panchang, the Baisakhi Sankranti moment will be at 3:12 PM. Although there are no bank and market holidays on April 14, 2023, the stock markets will remain closed due to the observance of Ambedkar Jayanti.
