CBSE Hosts First International Sahodaya Conference in Dubai

For the first time, the Sahodaya School Complex conference—a flagship forum of the CBSE—has moved beyond Indian shores to be held internationally. The event titled “1st International & 31st Annual Conference of Sahodaya School Complexes – 2025” took place in Dubai, gathering over 1,000 school leaders, educators and stakeholders from CBSE‑affiliated institutions across India and abroad. The theme reads: “Rooted in Wisdom, Rising with Vision: Reimagining Education through NEP 2020”

What the Conference Covers

Scope & Participants

The two‑day event brought together a wide‑ranging audience: school principals, management officials, teachers, and education‑policy stakeholders from CBSE‑affiliated schools worldwide. The Gulf region holds particular significance, with over 100 Indian curriculum CBSE schools in the UAE alone.

Themes & Objectives

The conference focuses on four key objectives,

  • Fostering meaningful partnerships among CBSE‑affiliated schools globally.
  • Developing practical strategies for implementing the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) across diverse educational contexts.
  • Showcasing innovations in teaching methodology and school management.
  • Encouraging strategic collaborations that support holistic education—emphasising critical thinking, creativity and global citizenship.

Venue & Date

  • The conference is scheduled for 4‑5 November 2025 at the Grand Hyatt Dubai in Dubai.
  • The dates were revised (from an earlier schedule of 3‑4 Nov) to accommodate operational requirements.

Why This Matters

Globalisation of Indian Education

  • By hosting the conference in Dubai and engaging schools from across the Gulf region, CBSE is signalling its commitment to making its curriculum and educational philosophy globally accessible and intercultural.

NEP 2020 in Focus

  • The conference’s theme emphasises NEP 2020, reflecting India’s shift toward more flexible, holistic, and future‑ready education.
  • Using an international platform strengthens the prospects for CBSE’s standards and innovations being recognised globally.
