The proposed acquisition of C&S Electric Limited by Siemens Limited has received the approval of the Competition Commission of India (CCI). The proposed combination envisions acquisition of 100% of the share capital of C&S Electric Limited (C&S) by Siemens Limited (Siemens India).
Siemens India supplies smart mobility solutions for rail as well as road transport, including infrastructure solutions for Smart Cities. It focuses on the areas of power generation and distribution along with intelligent infrastructure for buildings and distributed energy systems. While, C&S Electric Limited is engaged in the manufacturing of a range of electrical switchgear, power protection and electrical distribution products. It is also indulged in electrical contracting business which performs turn key solutions for industrial and commercial electrification, substations and power plants.
