Chiranjeevi Sets Guinness World Record as Most Prolific Indian Film Star
Megastar Chiranjeevi has been officially recognized by Guinness World Records as the most prolific actor/dancer in the Indian film industry. Over 45 years, he has performed an astonishing 24,000 dance moves in 537 songs across 156 films. This honor was conferred on September 20, 2024, during a special event where Chiranjeevi expressed gratitude for the recognition, attributing his success to the art of dance and the collaboration with directors, producers, and choreographers.
Chiranjeevi described the moment as unforgettable, stating that he never sought such recognition but felt elated nonetheless. He fondly recalled his early experiences dancing in front of legends like Savitri and emphasized how dance has been integral to his career.
The announcement was met with accolades from various dignitaries, including Aamir Khan, who expressed admiration for Chiranjeevi, noting the heart and joy he brings to his performances. Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Andhra Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu also congratulated the megastar, highlighting the pride this recognition brings to Telugu culture.
Chiranjeevi, with over 150 films to his name in languages such as Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Kannada, has made a lasting impact on Indian cinema. His notable films include “Rudra Veena,” “Indra,” “Tagore,” and “Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.” This achievement adds to his illustrious accolades, including the Padma Vibhushan and Padma Bhushan, showcasing his exceptional contributions to the arts.
