Citibank Appoints Kaustubh Kulkarni as Asia-Pacific IB Co-Head
- Citibank has appointed Kaustubh Kulkarni as co-head of investment banking for Japan, North Asia, Australia, and South Asia, based in Singapore, joining from JPMorgan in December.
- Kulkarni, with nearly 30 years at JPMorgan, will share leadership with Jan Metzger.
- Citi also appointed Vikram Chavali as managing director for global asset managers in Asia and Deepak Dangayach as co-head of debt capital markets, reflecting Citi’s expansion in the region amid a 15% revenue growth in investment banking.
R Gandhi Reappointed as Yes Bank Chairman by RBI
- The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has approved the reappointment of R Gandhi, former RBI Deputy Governor, as part-time non-executive chairman of Yes Bank.
- His new term will run from September 20, 2025, to May 13, 2027. Gandhi, a veteran central banker with 37 years of experience, served as RBI Deputy Governor from 2014 to 2017 and has also worked with SEBI and IDRBT.

Justice Shree Chandrashekhar Sworn in as Bombay HC Chief
- Justice Shree Chandrashekhar was sworn in as the new Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court on September 5, 2025. The oath was administered by Maharashtra Governor C P Radhakrishnan at Raj Bhavan.

ISRO’s Kulasekarapattinam Spaceport to Be Ready by Dec 2026
- ISRO Chief announced that the Kulasekarapattinam launch complex in Tamil Nadu, spanning 2300 acres, is expected to be ready by December 2026 and will support around 20-25 annual launches of Small Satellite Launch Vehicles (SSLV) carrying up to 500 kg payloads.
- This new spaceport will complement the existing facility at Sriharikota, enhancing India’s satellite launch capabilities.
