Deepika Padukone Gets Hollywood Walk of Fame Star
In a proud and historic moment, Deepika Padukone has become the first Indian actress to be honoured with a Hollywood Walk of Fame star. The announcement was made in Hollywood on Wednesday, July 3, 2025. This is a big achievement, not only for Deepika but also for India, as it puts Indian talent on the global map.
The Hollywood Walk of Fame is one of the most famous honours in the entertainment world. Every year, a group of stars from film, music, TV, and more are selected to get a star on the sidewalks of Hollywood Boulevard, USA. This year, Deepika was announced as one of the 35 selected names for the Class of 2026.
Along with her, other stars such as Miley Cyrus, Timothee Chalamet, Emily Blunt, Gordon Ramsay, Rachel McAdams, and Marion Cotillard will also receive stars.
Peter Roth, chairman of the Walk of Fame selection committee, said, “These talented individuals have made great contributions to entertainment. We are happy to honour them.”
Deepika Padukone made her Hollywood debut in 2017 with the film ‘XXX: Return of Xander Cage’, where she acted alongside Vin Diesel. Over the years, she has also become known internationally for her appearances at the Met Gala and the Cannes Film Festival.
She was also named in TIME magazine’s list of 100 most influential people, which is a big honour worldwide.
Deepika has several exciting projects coming up. She will be seen in the second part of the blockbuster film Kalki 2898 AD, with Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan. She is also part of a new film directed by Atlee, opposite Allu Arjun, with the working title AA22xA6.
Fans will also see her reunite with Shah Rukh Khan in an upcoming movie called King. With these big projects, her career continues to grow in both India and abroad.
