Defence Cyber Agency Launches ‘Cyber Suraksha’ Exercise to Boost Cybersecurity Readiness
The Defence Cyber Agency, under the Integrated Defence Staff Headquarters, launched ‘Cyber Suraksha’, a multi-phase cybersecurity training exercise, on June 16, 2025. The 12-day program aims to simulate real-world cyber threats and train over 100 participants from various national defence and security agencies in cyber defence, resilience, and leadership decision-making in cyber warfare environments.
The exercise was inaugurated on June 16, 2025, and is set to conclude on June 27, 2025. It has drawn attention due to its scale, leadership participation, and real-world simulation approach, making it a landmark move in India’s ongoing efforts to strengthen national cybersecurity, especially in the defence sector.
