Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena inaugurated the much-anticipated ‘Patang Utsav’ at Baansera, the city’s first bamboo-theme park located at Sarai Kale Khan on the scenic banks of the Yamuna River. In an effort to enhance the ecological character of Yamuna floodplains and create a more people-friendly space, Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena laid the foundation of ‘Baansera’ in August 2022. Remarkably, this bamboo-themed park was developed in a record time of just six months. The park boasts over 30,000 special varieties of bamboo saplings, sourced from Assam and other parts of the country, creating a green haven for residents and visitors alike.
