In a significant development, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has granted an aerodrome license for the Ayodhya Airport, paving the way for its inaugural flight on December 30. Developed by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) at a cost of ₹350 crore, the airport is strategically timed for inauguration ahead of the upcoming Ram Mandir inauguration in Ayodhya.
The Ayodhya Airport, named Maryada Purshottam Shri Ram International Airport, not only signifies a significant boost in connectivity but also serves as a testament to the cultural and religious heritage of the region. As it opens its gates to travelers, the airport is poised to become a key pilgrimage and transit point, seamlessly blending modern infrastructure with cultural resonance.
