ECI’s New SOP Ensures EPIC Delivery Within 15 Day
In a move aimed at enhancing voter convenience and improving the efficiency of electoral services, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has introduced a new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to deliver Elector Photo Identity Cards (EPICs) within 15 days of any update in the electoral rolls. This fast-track delivery system reflects ECI’s ongoing digital transformation under the leadership of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, alongside Election Commissioners Dr. Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Dr. Vivek Joshi.
ECI has launched a new SOP to ensure EPICs are delivered within 15 days after new enrollment or change in elector details. The initiative is supported by a dedicated IT module on ECINet, ECI’s upgraded digital platform. Real-time tracking and SMS notifications will keep voters informed of every step in the process.
