In 1913, Dadasaheb Phalke introduced Durgabai Kamat as the leading lady Parvati in his second film, “Mohini Bhasmasur.” Remarkably, her daughter, Kamlabai Gokhale portrayed the character of Mohini, marking her as the first female child actress in Indian cinema.
