From Local Crafts to Global Markets: How ‘RISA’ Is Leading the Shift For Tribes

Ministry of Tribal Affairs has launched the  premium brand called ‘RISA: Timeless Tribal’ which is a premium brand aimed at promoting tribal weaves, crafts, and embroidery on a global scale.on March 18, 2026 in New Delhi. This initiative aims to bring the tribal weaves, crafts and embroidery into global markets around the world. Also doing this to ensuring better income for artisans. RISA was launched by Union Minister Jual Oram and the brand focuses on preserving traditional knowledge and creating sustainable livelihoods.

RISA Timeless Tribal Brand

RISA Timeless Tribal is designed as the premium signature brand to showcase India’s rich tribal craftsmanship.

It also focuses on creating a strong identity for tribal products in both domestic and international markets.

The brand aims to bridge the gap between traditional art forms and modern consumer demand.

This initiative also combining heritage with contemporary design and also it ensures that tribal artisans gain recognition and fair value for their work.

Objectives of RISA Timeless Tribal Initiative

The RISA Timeless Tribal initiative is guided by the multiple objectives to strengthen tribal livelihood and promote cultural preservation.
