In the 28th Abu Dhabi, Masters Chess Tournament Grandmaster Arjun Erigaisi defeated David Anton Guijarro from Spain in the ninth and final round. Grandmaster Arjun Erigaisi won the 28th Dhabi Masters Chess Tournament with 7.5 points. Grandmaster Arjun Erigaisi is in the third position in the live rating list and has gained an impressive 35 Elo rating points after the recent Chess Olympiad in India. He won against Deep Sengupta, Raunak Sadhwani, top-seed Wang Hao of China, Alexsandr Indjic, Rohit Krishna, and David Anton Guijarro. He drew the matches against Evgeny Tomashevky, Jordan Van Forest, and Ray Robson. Other players scored 6.5, including Nihal Sarin, S P Sethuraman, Karthikeyan Murali, and Aryan Chopra all GMs, and Aditya Saman, a FIDE Master. About Grandmaster Arjun Erigaisi

Arjun Erigaisi was born on 3rd September 2003, and he is an Indian Chess Grandmaster. At the age of 14, he earned the title of Grandmaster making him the 32nd youngest person ever to achieve the title of Grandmaster. He is also the 54th Grandmaster from India. In 2015, Arjun Erigaisi won silver in the Asian Youth Championships in Korea. In 2018, he became the first grandmaster from Telangana.
