Gujarat Launches e-Zero FIR System for Cyber Financial Fraud Cases: Here's How It Works
The e-Zero FIR system has been introduced by the Gujarat Government to facilitate cyber financial fraud complaints without the need for the victims to visit a police station. Honorable This system was launched on 27th July 2026, by Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi in Gandhinagar, and it aims to enable quick investigations, enhance the possibility of to recovering the amount that was defrauded, and ease the reporting of cybercrime cases. The system has been designed in collaboration with I4C (Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre), organized under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
e-Zero FIR is a digital system that provides victims of cyber fraud with an immediate and seamless way to initiate the FIR filing process after reporting a financial cyber crime.

The main aim of the implementation is to enhance the police response time during the crucial hours of cyber fraud.
The Complaints System has been made simpler now in order to solve complaints quickly and easily.
Step 1: Complain of Fraud
The people who have been victims of the cyber fraud call the 1930 National Cybercrime Helpline to lodge their complaint.
Step 2: Automatic generation of e-Zero FIR
The complaint leads to automatic generation of e-Zero FIR through the integrated digital system.
Step 3: Electronic transportation of FIR
The e-Zero FIR is sent electronically to the police station concerned.
Step 4: Police verification
The police investigating officers get in touch with the complainant in order to confirm the details and provide the required legal formalities.
Step 5: Instant Investigation
The police start with the necessary investigation and take steps to catch the fraudster and retrieve the money if possible.
