Gujarat Launches Jan Suraksha Santrupti Abhiyan to Expand Welfare Reach
On June 30, 2025, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel launched the Jan Suraksha Santrupti Abhiyan in Gandhinagar, marking the start of a national campaign aimed at bringing unserved eligible citizens under the ambit of key government welfare schemes. The initiative targets expanding coverage of social security programs like the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, and Jan Dhan Yojana, while also raising awareness on digital frauds and updating KYC information.
The Jan Suraksha Santrupti Abhiyan is in the spotlight as it kicks off a three-month national campaign (July 1 – September 30, 2025) to ensure that no eligible citizen is left out of government welfare benefits. Spearheaded from Gujarat, the campaign represents the government’s commitment to financial inclusion, social security, and public outreach, aiming to deepen the impact of flagship schemes launched over the last decade.
