Guntur Municipal Corporation Honoured at Vienna for Women Empowerment Initiative

Guntur Municipal Corporation has won the Gender Equality Mobilization (GEM) Award 2026. The honor was presented at the global stage in Vienna (Austria) and recognizing the civic body’s innovative step to deploying over the 200 women as the electric auto drivers for door-to-door waste collection.
