History Created! Harmanpreet Kaur Becomes First Cricketer Ever to Play 200 T20 Internationals

Indian Captain Harmanpreet Kaur has achieved the historic milestone as she became the first player in the history of cricket, whether it’s men’s or women’s, to feature in 200 T20 Internationals. She has achieved this milestone against South Africa in an ongoing Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 in Old Trafford, Manchester.

Harmanpreet Kaur Becomes First Cricketer

With her appearance against South Africa, Harmanpreet has surpassed every male and female cricketer to become the first player ever to reach the landmark of 200 T20I matches.

Before the match, Harmanpreet was honoured by the India head coach, Amol Muzumdar and the vice-captain, Smriti Mandhana, who presented her with the special jersey and commemorative cap bearing the number “200.”

Harmanpreet Kaur’s Journey from Debut to 200 T20Is

Harmanpreet’s international journey began in March 2009 when she made her One Day International debut against Pakistan.

Just a few months later, in June 2009, she played her first T20 International against England at Taunton.
