HDFC Bank partners Manipal Global to build up a talent pipeline

HDFC Bank, one of India’s premier private sector lenders, has announced a strategic partnership with Manipal Global Skills Academy to launch the Leadership Excellence Program (LXP). The program aims to hire and train women branch managers and enhance gender diversity within the organization. The Leadership Excellence Program (LXP) is a transformative initiative designed to establish a robust talent pipeline of female professionals at HDFC Bank. The bank plans to hire, train, and deploy over 200 women branch managers across key cities in India, including Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Surat, Ahmedabad, and Uttar Pradesh. The program’s objective is to increase the percentage of women within the organization to 25% by the year 2025.

Comprehensive Training Program

Selected candidates for the Women Branch Managers Program – LXP undergo a comprehensive one-month virtual training program facilitated by Manipal Global Skills Academy (MGSA). The training is tailored to equip future branch managers with essential skills such as resource management, marketing strategies, risk-reward trade-offs, process and control management, customer relationship management, stakeholder engagement, maintaining a quality asset portfolio, and driving growth and profitability. Soft skills and leadership training are also integral components of the program.
