HDFC ERGO Appoints Parthanil Ghosh as New MD and CEO

HDFC ERGO General Insurance has officially announced the appointment of Parthanil Ghosh as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This decision was approved by the company’s Board of Directors. And it marks a major leadership transition for the insurance firm. This HDFC ERGO appointment as new MD and CEO will come into effect on April 16 2026. And also it is subject to approvals from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) and other required regulatory bodies.

His elevation to the position of Managing Director and CEO of HDFC ERGO reflects the trust the board has placed in his leadership capabilities and long term vision for the company.

Role of IRDAI in Approving the New CEO Appointment

The HDFC ERGO MD and CEO appointment of Parthanil Ghosh has been approved by the board.

But it will become official only after regulatory approval from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI).
